Privacy Policy

How Video Broadcaster collects, uses, shares, and retains account, upload, publishing, and billing information.

This Privacy Policy explains how vbroadcaster LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information in connection with Video Broadcaster, including the website, web application, APIs, and related services available at vbroadcaster.app and any successor or related domains (collectively, the "Service").

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect when you:

  • visit or use the Service;
  • create an account or sign in;
  • upload videos or related content;
  • link social media or other third-party accounts;
  • purchase or manage a subscription;
  • contact us for support or otherwise communicate with us.

2. Personal Information We Collect

A. Information you provide directly

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

  • account and profile information, such as your name, email address, profile image, login provider, and encrypted or hashed authentication credentials where applicable;
  • account security and access data, such as API tokens that you generate through the Service;
  • billing and subscription information, such as your selected plan, subscription status, Stripe customer ID, Stripe subscription ID, Stripe price ID, cancellation status, and renewal or period-end dates;
  • communications you send to us, including support requests, feedback, and other correspondence.

B. Video and publishing information

When you use the Service's core features, we may collect and store:

  • uploaded video files and original file names;
  • technical metadata derived from your video files, such as file size, duration, width, height, codecs, frame rate, bitrate, creation date, geolocation data embedded in the file, and device information embedded in the file;
  • titles, descriptions, tags, and related publishing metadata you provide;
  • screenshots, thumbnails, previews, and related storage paths generated or stored in connection with uploaded videos;
  • schedule records, selected platforms, scheduled times, publication status, retry status, and publication results;
  • third-party platform response data, remote post IDs, remote URLs, remote thumbnails, privacy status, and error details returned during publish attempts.

C. Linked social account data

If you connect a third-party platform account, we may collect and store information necessary to enable publishing and account status management, including:

  • platform name and provider name;
  • provider account ID and account label;
  • access tokens, refresh tokens, token scopes, token types, expiration times, refresh expiration times, and token refresh timestamps;
  • profile metadata returned by the provider, such as usernames, display names, channel IDs, avatars, and raw provider profile data.

D. Information from authentication providers

If you sign in using a third-party provider such as Google or GitHub, we receive profile and authentication information from that provider, subject to the provider's settings and your permissions.

E. Automatically collected information

We and our service providers may automatically collect limited technical and usage information, such as:

  • log and device information, including IP address, browser type, operating system, approximate timestamps, referring pages, and diagnostic data;
  • cookie, session, and similar identifier data used to authenticate users, maintain sessions, remember settings, secure the Service, and analyze reliability and performance.

F. Payment card data

Payments are processed by Stripe or another authorized payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers, full bank account details, or card security codes in our application database.

3. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • to provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
  • to authenticate users, manage accounts, and secure the Service;
  • to host, process, store, display, and publish uploaded videos and related content according to user instructions;
  • to create screenshots, previews, metadata, schedule entries, and publication logs;
  • to connect, maintain, and refresh linked third-party social account authorizations;
  • to process subscriptions, billing status, usage limits, and related account entitlements;
  • to troubleshoot errors, monitor performance, prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce our terms and policies;
  • to communicate with you about your account, support requests, updates, security notices, and transactional messages;
  • to comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the Company, our users, and others.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

If you are in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction requiring a legal basis for processing, we generally process personal information on one or more of the following bases:

  • performance of a contract when we provide the Service you request;
  • legitimate interests, such as operating, securing, improving, and supporting the Service;
  • compliance with legal obligations;
  • consent, where required by law, including where you choose to connect certain third-party accounts or permit optional processing.

5. How We Share Personal Information

We may disclose personal information in the following circumstances:

  • to service providers and contractors that help us operate the Service, such as hosting, infrastructure, authentication, analytics, customer support, and payment processing providers;
  • to third-party platforms you choose to connect, such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, in order to authenticate your account, maintain access, and publish content at your direction;
  • to authentication providers such as Google and GitHub when you choose to use their login or linking features;
  • to Stripe or another payment processor for billing, subscription administration, fraud prevention, and payment-related support;
  • to professional advisors, auditors, insurers, or legal counsel where reasonably necessary;
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, asset sale, reorganization, bankruptcy, or similar corporate transaction;
  • to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect rights, property, and safety;
  • with your consent or at your direction.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share uploaded content or personal information with unrelated third parties for their own independent marketing use except as described in this Privacy Policy.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • keep you signed in and maintain your session;
  • remember preferences and account state;
  • protect the Service against misuse and unauthorized access;
  • measure service reliability and usage patterns.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling cookies may affect Service functionality.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:

  • maintain your account and subscription;
  • store uploaded content and associated publishing records until you delete them or your account is closed;

Retention periods may vary by data type, account status, legal requirements, and operational need. We may delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us at [email protected], and we will take appropriate steps.

If local law sets a higher minimum age for digital consent, use of the Service is permitted only by users who meet that age threshold or who have valid parental or guardian authorization where permitted.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service may link to or integrate with third-party websites, products, and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy notices of Google, GitHub, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Stripe, and any other third-party services you use with the Service.
